Step 2: Download the Circular

Check for the latest BCS exam circular under the announcements section. The circular lists all essential information, such as applicant guidelines, application deadlines, examination syllabus, and other vital instructions.

Step 3: Check Eligibility

Carefully read the guidelines, which include age limits, educational qualifications, and citizenship requirements. The regular age limit is 21–30 years for general candidates, but exceptions may be considered for specific groups such as relatives of freedom fighters or disabled individuals.

Step 4: Register Online

Navigate to the online registration form (Form 1). Input all necessary fields, such as candidate details, academic qualifications, and job preferences. Recheck for any inaccuracies. Providing false information can lead to cancellation.

Step 5: Upload Documents

You must upload a latest copyright-sized photograph (300 pixels by 300 pixels, file size below 100 KB) and your signature (300 pixels by 80 pixels, file size below 60 kilobytes). Confirm these comply with the requirements mentioned in the circular.

Step 6: Pay the Application Fee

After completing the form submission, you will be given a User ID. Use this ID to pay the application fee through Teletalk SMS services. The fee is usually BDT seven hundred for general candidates and 100 taka for others. Follow the procedure provided in the circular.

Step 7: Confirm Submission

Once the fee is paid, you will receive a confirmation SMS with a Transaction ID. Keep this ID for future reference. Go back to the application portal to confirm the payment status.

Final Tips

Complete your application well before the deadline to avoid last-minute problems.

Print a copy of the final application form for future use, such as for getting the admit card.

By sticking to these guidelines, you can successfully apply for the BCS exam and advance toward your aspiration in the Bangladesh Civil Service. Good luck!
